I just got back from 5 days of demonstrating the Cricut at Costco in Santa Rosa, California. It was lots of fun talking to others who are as passionate about the cricut as I am. I also got to help lots of others catch the bug. We were given two Expressions machines and Gypsy's to demo. They did not give us a whole lot of supllies as far as paper, adhesive and such. They wanted us to have projects out for display, but with the limited supplies i felt some of the projects did not do the cricut brand justice. After the first day i came home and raided my craft room for projects that I had done. I displayed a t-shirt that I made using vinyl and the Storybook cartridge, the butterfly card from my last post, and various cards and gift boxes I have made. We got a whole lot more traffic at the booth after I brought this stuff and many people said I should be selling my stuff for a living. Don't they know that it would cease to be fun if I did that. I can't believe that I forgot to take pictures while I was there. Here are some pics that my team leader took and sent to me.
And here is a project I made while I was there with the Just Because Cartridge. One of the nights when I came home from work my husband told me he needed a birthday card for my nephew, but he couldn't find my box of cards that I keep on hand. I told him that was because I had taken it with me to display. Instead of bringing him home the box, I made this card for my nephew. The sticker on the envelope was made to come off so he could wear it at his party.

More Gypsy fun
I decided to try my hand at welding shapes to create a shaped card. I used this butterfly from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge that comes preloaded on the Gypsy. I used the cheap Walm, art cardstock for the base of the card, Coredinations Black Magic paper for the top. I also welded the word Dream from the same cart, then copied and pasted it to layer it. I used some purple scraps to cover the holes cut into the butterfly, and a scrap of Stampin Up paper for the dream. I embossed the Black Magic paper with the Cuttlebug Paisley folder and sanded it with a cheapie white nail buffing block. I used Liquid Glass and Sequins Glitz stickles to enhance the Dream cut and small butterfly. I added a black pearl from my stash only because I had torn one of the antennae off and I was trying to hide the flaw. Happy mistakes are always good.
Cuttlebug Blog challenge
Imade this cute tote bag to hold 3x3 note cards. I found the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers under resources. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder to emboss the bag. The cardstock I used is from Stampin Up. The scalloped circle on the tote is from my Spellbinders Nestabilities and the circle is a punch. The sentiment is hand-written. Then I made these 3x3 note cards with a birthday theme. I used the same Stampin Up cardstock, some printed paper from my stash, the cheap white walmart cardstock for the base of the cards and a free digi stmap image from cuddlybuddly.com, some ribbon from my stash and markers to color the image. I used the Swiss Dots folder here as well. I also used my Cuttlebug to cut the scalloped circle with my Spellbinders Nestabilities. A Martha Stewart border punch completed the look. So what do you all think?

Playing with the cricut Gypsy
I have been wanting a cricut Gypsy since before they came out. I watched every funny video they had to advertise this neat little gadget. What is it you ask, well essentially it is a PSP for scrapbookers. Does that make me a little obsessed? Well yes but who cares. I was just recently hired by Provocraft (the makers of all things Cricut) to be a Cricut demnstrator. The details on that are a whole seperate blog post. While I was at the training in Las Vegas they gave us a Gypsy!!!! Yeah well I do have to give it back after I complete all my demos, but in the meantime I get to play with it. Here are some things I have made with it(all of this was made with the cartridges that come pre-loaded on the machine)
First I made this mesh paper shown in the middle of this Layout .
I welded this title
These cards are one of the first files I created
I made these for a sketch challenge over on the cricut message board in my Not So Secret Sister group
I made this box for my Not so secret sister Christina. The fleur de lis frame was from a file I got from someone on the Gypsy section of Cricut.com
And last but not least I really don't need the whole cartridge of Robotz that is available, so I made this one on the Gypsy.
I can't wait to get a Gypsy of my very own. One that I can load all of my cartridges onto. someday, that day will come, and when that day comes, I will be ready.

Cricut Expressions Giveaway
For those of you who know me, you know that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Cricut. I use it almost daily, dream about it, and when I'm not near it and I'm thinking of when we can be together again and what we can work on together. When I first bought it I went for the original Cricut because I thought I would have no need for the larger Expression. Boy was I wrong. I have had to borrow the larger machine from friends on more than one occasion and there have been lots of times that I have not been able to follow my inspiration due to the size limitations of my baby bug. I have been coveting an Expression for about as long as I have owned my cricut, but it has not been in the budget. When I heard that the Cuttlebug Blog was giving away an Expression I was thrilled. This just might be my chance to own my dream machine! You can check it out for yourself here- http://cuttlebugblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Cricut%20Giveaway Of course if you win it instead of me then we will have to share.
